About me

Hello. If you’ve landed here, you are most likely struggling with something. I’m grateful you’ve found me. Because relationship is key to therapeutic progress, finding the right person to journey through these struggles with you is really important. Here is some information about me to help you decide if my counseling style and experience is the right fit for you.

I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for more than 30 years and have worked with people from all different ages, stages, and backgrounds who are struggling with a wide variety of life’s challenges. Much of my experience has been working with people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, compassion fatigue, relationships, family issues, life stress, and challenges of parenting. My clients describe me as kind, calm and curious, and they appreciate that I connect with them in a deeply meaningful way. You can count on me to be accepting, responsive and relevant, allowing you to learn and grow at your pace, not mine.

I can connect with you in whichever format you prefer. My style is warm and interactive and while video sessions tend to allow us to get to know each other better, I am also available by phone and text and can flex easily from one format to another. A majority of my availability is in the evenings and on the weekends to accommodate my clients’ work schedules, but I check and respond to messages regularly throughout the day. The therapeutic traditions that inform my work include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Client-Centered Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Trauma-Focused Therapy, however I am able to adapt and change according to your needs and preferences.

I look forward to getting to know you and am confident I can support and empower you toward the full and joyful life you desire.

Kim is thoughtful and a great listener. Her experience shows as she able to pick out patterns and blind spots that I had missed. She is a great communicator and is easy to connect with. She has helped me tremendously throughout my journey.

Kim has been the best therapist I’ve had thus far, bar none. From helping me deal with mourning failed relationships, emotional trauma, anxiety and depression. I have improved and I continue to improve with each session. I can talk to her about anything, and she’s given me some resourceful reads and worksheets.

Thank you Kim, your work means a lot.
