Kimberly Nave

About Me

Kim is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master's Degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC). Kim has worked with parents and children to help them to learn how to communicate with each other to build and maintain a healthy relationship. She has experience working with addiction, anger management, depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, adoption/foster care, relationship issues, parenting issues, difficulty with communication, motivation, educational challenges, and blended families.

Kim believes that therapy is a collaboration between client and therapist, where the client is the expert in their situation, thoughts, and feelings. She works with her clients using an eclectic approach, including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and solutions-based approaches. Kim assists her clients in identifying their goals and collaborates with them to determine the steps to take to reach those goals. She works with the client to help them acknowledge them and build on their strengths so that they feel empowered to transform their lives.
