About me

Do you strive for peace? Can you imagine a world where you feel in control of your anxiety & depression? How can you learn to communicate your emotions so you truly feel heard?

Therapy can be scary and frustrating whether you’re brand new or have years of experience. You need counseling where you can collaborate to make your best decisions.

I have a decade of experience helping folks like you find new strategies to improve your relationships, minimize stress, and maximize control. I have experience diagnosing and treating several disorders such as bipolar, autism, and PTSD. I work with families to regain safety after physical, sexual, emotional and spiritual abuse. I enjoy walking with those who have a personality disorder to increase coping skills and have had great success leading clients to reduce anxiety, increase self esteem, and return to balance with practical steps (sometimes homework) based on CBT and CPT theories that have a long history of success.

My resume includes many years of healthcare management in primary care and behavioral health using my masters degree in Business Administration, including work on military bases, before gaining my second masters degree in Professional Counseling. I have a background working with special needs, career building, Couples counseling and family relationship counseling. I have worked closely with many physicians and can help you communicate your medical needs to find your best life.

Personally I am a mother of 5 with a special needs child and am enjoying the empty nest stage of life now. There is little that comes up in counseling that I haven’t had personal experience with, including: abuse, caregiving, financial struggles, employment challenges and behavioral health diagnoses. With a base of empathy and humor, you can gain tools for a more peaceful future beginning today.
