Welcome! I am so glad that you are here! It can be very difficult to enter therapy, so I applaud you in taking the first step towards your healing.
I am a licensed clinical marriage and family therapist (LCMFT) in the state of KS and a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) in the state of WI. I am certified as a sex addiction treatment provider (CSATP), a credential I completed through MidAmerica Nazarene University. I have a Bachelor of Science in psychology, a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and a PhD in family life education, all from Kansas State University. I have over 14 years of experience as a therapist and the vast majority of my clients have identified their faith practices to be rooted in Christianity. Having a Christ-centered approach has proven to be very helpful for clients who want to have relational healing in their spiritual relationships as well as their family relationships. I have worked with clients who have experienced spiritual abuse, who struggle with the trauma of sexual abuse, physical abuse, relational issues, depression, and anxiety, just to name a few.
My therapy style is informal but professional. I believe in the power of prayer and am known to pray for my clients as the Spirit leads. Additionally, I believe it is important that each client feel some measure of leadership in our therapeutic relationship. With that said, I allow the clients to be the expert on their lives and their relationship with Jesus. My job is to come alongside and help guide the process toward healing. I strive to provide an environment where my clients can be themselves and feels free to express their thoughts and feelings related to their particular hurts, hangups and setbacks, even if it means expressions of anger and frustrations with God.
Let's walk this journey together. I am here for you whenever you are ready.
