About me

Hi, my name is Kristi Skeem and have been in Counseling for over 13 years. I have worked with very difficult populations and diverse individuals struggling with life’s challenges. I am a conference and event speaker for both public and private events. Everyone has unique issues based on their personal circumstances, but also unique gifting and personal strengths that will help them to preserve through. I typically use a Cognitive Behavioral approach to brief counseling to tackle life dilemmas. My treatment approach of cognitive behavioral therapy offers empowerment to individuals to take back control of their life, first through their thoughts and beliefs, then their feelings and actions; living the life they want. Your walk on earth is a remarkable experience meant-for you to be an overcoming and victorious individual. Sometimes life’s circumstances have created moments of defeat that are time when you need extra support. Scripture indicates that you are to come to the God of all creation to cast your burdens to Him, because He cares for even YOU! He will exchange heaviness for joy. Sometimes having a counselor to sort out confusing moments is helpful and should not be judged or shamed.
