Lane Newton

(M.Ed., LPC-MHSP)

About Me

Welcome! My name is Lane Newton, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Tennessee. I specialize in working with trauma, abuse, attachment, anxiety, and depression and have experience working with clients in a variety of settings, including domestic violence, adoption, foster care, and private practice. I earned my masters in counseling from Vanderbilt University. I practice evidenced-based treatments and am certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Attachment, Self-Regulation, and Competency (ARC), and Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) therapies.

I believe that relationship and collaboration are two essential components of counseling. It is important for each person to feel safe and valued in order to move forward in therapy. I strive to create connection and a safe space for each individual I work with in order to process and make progress towards one's goals. It is an honor to be able to listen, support, and help individuals find hope. I would love to join you on your journey towards healing!

I live alone, not many reliable friends and constantly stressed. This is definitely one of the toughest chapters of my life. Lane has been there for me every step of the way to help me through it all. She is such a blessing and I will be forever grateful for her and her work.

She is knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. She listens and empathizes well.
