Greetings, my name is Larri Rose and I am a licensed professional counselor who loves God! I began my true and connected walk with Christ in 2006. Since that time, I have served in the Children’s ministry at my local church for 7 years as a ministry teacher of the Word of God. I am also a faithful intercessor who believes that prayer changes situations for the better. I also believe that with God (Love) all things are possible and that with all our getting we are to get understanding. I carry this believe in my everyday walk as a wife, a mother, a daughter of God, and into my service as a Christian counselor.
I'm a National Board-Certified Professional School Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Fayetteville, Georgia. I have a master’s degree from Mercer University, and I have had the opportunity to work in a wide variety of settings: in-home therapy, school-based counseling, and individual & group settings. I specialize in providing therapeutic services to ages 15-25, however, I have worked with clients in all age ranges especially in relation to family systems therapy. I have worked with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, stress management, anger management, relationship issues, abandonment issues, conflict resolution, parenting problems, career challenges & ADHD. I have also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.
I would describe my own counseling approach as one that is empathetic and gentle, and yet encourages accountability and responsibility in clients. I use a Carl Rogers approach coupled with Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Solution-focused techniques. I think it is important to meet each client exactly where he or she is on an individual basis without biases or prejudice. I structure my approach as one where I allow my clients to be open and honest with me while clarifying healthy boundaries that establish respect and independence. I desire for each of my clients to know, understand, and feel that I am respectful and supportive of their own goals and their progression. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs in alignment with the Word of God.
I was trained at Mercer University under a CACREP (Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs) methodology. Under the CACREP methodology, Mercer University was dedicated to ensuring that as future counselors we each understood, practiced, and upheld the ethical standards outlined by the American Counseling Association (ACA) when working with clients of all ages and from all backgrounds.
While all of my formal training is important, it pales in comparison to the glory of God and Jesus Christ’s sacrifice for us to live life and life more abundantly.
It takes great courage to acknowledge you are in need of support and even greater courage to seek support. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!
