Well Hello! Thank you for visiting me today!!!
I have over 20 years of experience in my field. My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines Cognitive-Behavioral, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered, Compassion Focused, Strength-Based, Christian Counseling, and Trauma Focused. I like to use tools such as music, video, art, writing, and activity sheets during sessions. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
Just to be clear, I believe Christian counseling focuses on ones spiritual health, personal relationship with God, and the belief that, with therapy, personal problems, mental health issues, and emotional distress can be replaced with increased self-worth and spiritual fulfillment.
When providing Christian Counseling I generally work with individuals that are having issues with,
*Trauma & PTSD
*Grief & Loss
*Pregnancy, Prenatal, Postpartum
*Anger toward God
*Their overall spiritual health
I am here for you! Most clients I work with say I am personable and easy to talk to. It has often been said my witty and compassionate nature is helpful when working through difficult situations. Individuals have said working with me is more like talking to a friend than a therapist. Simply put I am all about guiding individuals through a journey that promotes HOPE, HELP, and HEALING.
Everyone needs a place where they can feel safe. A place where they can be free to just be themselves. When talking with me you can be assured you have entered a NO JUDGEMENT ZONE.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for LaShawn Myers . We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Faithful Counseling might be different.
LaShawn has been a great support for me since I joined Faithful Counseling. Where I was six months ago is not where I am today and she is a large part of that. I feel heard, seen and validated during our sessions. No one thing is too small or big for me to bring up during our sessions, and she is great at helping me process everything!
Takes the time to listen and understand my point of view. Listens to my concerns and provides adequate information and support
