Hello and Welcome to the first step of starting a new journey! My name is Lauren and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). I have had the privilege of coming alongside clients wanting to walk a different path. For almost 10 years and I have seen some very amazing experiences in both community mental health and the private practice setting.
We all experience forks in the road, uncharted territories, and fears about which direction we are going. Counseling is a place where you can find rest, encouragement, and hope during difficult and trying times. I find that many of the problems for which people enter into counseling are due to the relationships that they have with those around them, which stems from the relationship they have with themselves. Together, we can explore and come up with creative goals and solutions to illuminate your path.
At my core, I believe that how we perceive the world directly influences our thoughts, behaviors, and actions. I also find that we have many parts that have different thoughts and beliefs which can be confusing, conflicting, and overwhelming. Many of these thoughts stem from childhood wounds, traumatic experiences, or tough life lessons. I have work with many clients on a variety of issues like difficult relationships, breakups, life transitions, family dynamics, anxiety and depression.
When we work to better understand our thoughts and the parts that make us who we are, we can find clarity, compassion, joy, and freedom.
Starting your journey to self discovery is a brave one. I am looking forward to coming along side you on your adventure.
