I am a licensed professional clinical counselor with the mission of helping people live intentionally and wholly, even when life presents challenges and pain.
I truly believe that counseling is not a “quick fix” to the struggles of life. Through counseling I use an empathetic and results-oriented approach to work with my clients to still push toward healing and progress as productively as possible. I strive to serve clients by balancing behavioral and cognitive approaches, equipping clients with effective behavioral strategies as well as helping to process mental blocks and trauma.
My professional experience consists of over 15 years of working with populations I'm passionate about helping, including working with teens & adults, students at the collegiate level, with survivors of sexual assault, couples entering marriage as well as those facing times of struggle, working through infidelity and those dedicated not only to saving, but improving their marriage. I have been a speaker for churches, women’s groups, collegiate and business functions. As a Christian, I understand the difficulties of living in a secular world but trying to live a Godly life. I draws from my faith to help clients as we walk through the counseling journey together. In "real life", I am the proud owner of a Christian counseling practice and also serve as one of the counselors for my church counseling ministry.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Business Management & Economics from University of Mount Union in Alliance, Ohio and received my Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling from Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, North Carolina.
In addition to my professional work as a Counselor, I am a Certified Coach and trained Mediator.

Lesley is very kind and compassionate and asks me questions that challenge me to think about what’s the best way for me to deal with my problems and move forward in the most positive way possible. I’m comfortable sharing my feelings with her, even though it’s difficult to face some of them myself. I truly believe she is a very important part of my improving mental health.
When I began working with Lesley I told her that I am very visual in my words and thoughts, she immediately understood and has communicated often with clear word pictures. I have learned so much while working with Lesley C. She listens to me carefully and responds with words and phrases that reappear in my thoughts when I need encouragement or support. We are gently and purposefully working through my issues and I am grateful and looking forward to all that is to come.
