I grew up in the church and transitioned into adulthood with a strong Christian foundation. My beliefs has helped me through many of life's ups and downs over the years .
At the same time I recognize that God has given me the inner resources to make decisions that are consistent with good outcomes, to do the right thing, or at least to always strive to do the right things. When things have gone not so well in my life, I am not one to attribute it to God or His will for my life. I take full responsibility for the choices I have made and the understanding of the consequences that go with making bad choices. Most of the problems I have experienced is because of the choices I have made and not because God willed it. I don't impose my beliefs on my clients but I do try to get my clients to understand the role of choice in life. One of the greatest gifts God gave us is freedom of choice. How we use this gift, this blessing, is, well, our choice.
I have a masters degree in clinical social work and a masters degree in public health in the area of maternal and child health. I have over 30 years of experience working with individuals, families, and couples. I am comfortable working with people from all walks of life, and different religious beliefs.
