I believe in empowering people; building on their strengths and challenging their thinking as they work toward changing their lives. I always want to provide a safe, nurturing therapeutic environment where clients can gain insight and develop a deeper understanding of how they move forward. Throughout my career, I have worked with multiple populations in a variety of settings. I began my counseling career working with families in a faith-based setting. I have also worked with female inmates to support them as they worked to reunify with their children and families after incarceration. I spent ten years working with families in poverty. One of the most important beliefs I hold is that we all have strengths that we can build on as we attempt to make changes. Through the use of Cognitive Behavioral and Solution Focused counseling interventions, I have been able to help clients address their concerns and move toward the life they hope to have. It takes courage to pursue a more fulfilling life and I know it is my purpose to support people as they take steps toward change.

Lisa is an amazing counselor, she seeks to listen and understand allowing for you to be vocally free yet still engaging and allow there to be a safe place for healing. I highly recommend her.
Lisa is very discerning and gets right to the heart of the issue. She is focused on moving forward, being proactive and taking personal responsibility. Very different from other counselors we have experienced and we highly recommend her.
