About me
I am a Christian licensed marriage and family therapist licensed in Hawaii with over 3 years of experience working as a psychotherapist and life coach. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting and couples problems, and especially experienced in substance use disorders with dual diagnosis.
My style in therapy is genuine, warm and client-oriented. I work within my ethical boundaries. I am culturally sensitive. My approach is ecclectic where I use various interventions from Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Gottman Method for couples. I adapt my interventions according to my clients' goals and needs. I also include spirituality in my counseling approach when clients prefer to touch this area as part of their healing process.
I applaud you for reaching out for help. Allow me to be alongside your journey to be well as a whole person or to at least be a guide you in your path.
I look forward to working with you!

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Maita Marks. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Faithful Counseling might be different.
Maita is professional, kind, and supportive. I really appreciate the time spent together. Her homework was thought provoking and helpful between sessions. She gave me lots of space to talk out my troubles and gave me gentle guidance. I would recommend Maita to someone seeking kind therapy.
Warm and understanding!
