About me

At present, I can provide therapy sessions to people that live in NY and NYS

Thank you for sharing information about yourself. I'm so happy that you reached out for help. I am Margaret Rohan, a licensed therapist. I have worked with individuals seeking counseling for over 10 years, both online and in my private practice. Most of my experience has been working with people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, relationships, self-esteem, LGBTQ issues, and addictions. You can read more about my background, education, experience, and counseling approach by clicking on my name above our messages. I check messages here a few times per day, Monday through Thursday, and respond as quickly as I can. I do appreciate your patience when it takes a bit longer at times, as I may be tending to other clients or professional/personal responsibilities., but my goal is to get back to you within 24 hours.
Sessions are for 45 minutes.
I will need you to please complete the Consent Form and Assessment form I send to you prior to our first session and please return it to me. It is very important that provide me with your legal name, date of birth, address, phone number, and emergency contact information before the first session to satisfy safety and my Social Work Board. Thank You.

Margaret is a caring, kind, and competent therapist. She was extremely flexible with the timing of sessions and the platform most suitable for my circumstances (in my case, a phone session.) I was going through an overwhelming time and Margaret was very sympathetic, supportive and gave me sensible advice for my situation. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking therapy.
