About Me

I am a licensed professional counselor licensed in Texas with over 3 years of experience working as a therapist. I have worked with clients with a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting concerns, and trauma. My biggest desire is to help the client find their identity in Christ and truly understand his purpose for them.

My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion.I believe to really understand a person, you must hear their story. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, attachment centered, client-centered, and faith-based approaches. I will plan your treatment and our time together to meet your unique and specific needs.

It takes courage to reach out and trust someone with the parts of who you are that are vulnerable. If you are ready to take that step, I am ready and able to help you on your journey!

I look forward to working with you!

Mariah has been an incredible resource during a very hard year. I was very reluctant to start the counseling process but after my first call with Mariah, I felt like the weight I had been carrying was starting to fall off. She has given me great strategies to work though anxiety and grow my personal relationships in a healthy way. Mariah is using her God given gifts to help others in her role as a counselor.

I’ve really enjoyed working with Mariah so far. She has a great approach that makes my sessions feel like a blend of talking with my counselor, and talking with a friend. What I mean that, she is able to get me to go more in depth and think about things I haven’t thought of, without it feeling clinical.
