About me
The foundation of my practice is based on Biblical truth rather than those of secular psychiatry or psychology. John 8:32 states “you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.” The purpose of my practice is to help people examine their beliefs, thoughts, attitudes, responses, feelings and actions with God’s Word so they may be transformed to the image of Christ. II Timothy 3: 16-17 states “all scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction and training in righteousness, that the man of God be competent, equipped for every good work.” Other aids to be used in counseling are prayer, scripture reading, scripture memorization, homework assignments and Paul Carlin’s Model of Belief Therapy. If there are any significant legal, financial, medical or other areas outside of my expertise, I will refer you to the appropriate independent professional.
It is my belief that each person has been created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27) and that image has been marred by the fall when Adam and Eve disobeyed God and chose to sin. God has provided a way to restore that image through His Son Christ Jesus. I am wholeheartedly committed to the Biblical counseling process to aid God and the Holy Spirit in transforming your life to the image of Christ.
