I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both New York and Massachusetts. I earned my master's degree in social work with a focus on mental health and I also hold my bachelor's degree in social work as well. I have always had a passion for helping others and from an early age I knew I wanted to strive to help others overcome challenges, so they can live a more productive life. I have been practicing counseling over the past several years and I have significant experience working with people who are facing a wide spectrum of issues including anxiety, depression, substance use, bipolar disorder, relationship problems, and stress management. As a Christian, I understand the important role faith plays in mental health. Our faith provides us with healthy coping skills that we can utilize to help manage symptoms of depression and anxiety. By engaging in Christian counseling, I can help you look at your issues through a biblical view.
Throughout my practice I have seen many people who are struggling, but do not reach out for professional help and then their symptoms overtake their lives. It makes me sad to watch this occur, when help is easily accessible. Therefore I am excited to take part in on-line therapy in order to help clients work through their issues and learn to make changes to prevent further problems. I can develop a plan with you to manage symptoms and develop healthy coping skills. I am here to listen and provide you with feedback to help reach your goals. One of the most important aspects of therapy is the client/therapist relationship. I strive to make my clients feel comfortable by being nonjudgmental and building trust quickly. I utilize solution focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques. Overall I treat all of my clients with respect and my approach is client centered. My focus is on your goals and identifying your strengths in order to help you be successful even when you are facing difficulties.

Meagan has made important impacts on my life. I have had a lifetime of bad mental habits. Her kindness and understanding help me to challenge myself and grow every day. It's not easy, but the guidance I receive from her and the worksheets make all the difference on the world. Thank you Meagan!
Megan was exactly who I needed during a difficult transition - separating from my husband, moving, and staying a new job. She was so supportive and insightful. A calm port during a storm.
