About Me

It’s always been a privilege for me to hear others’ stories and have them trust me with the vulnerable parts of themselves. My clients tend to appreciate my warm, down-to-earth approach that is both affirming and non-judgmental. Until we get to heaven, we will continue to be affected by life in a broken, sin-stained world, and it can be so helpful to have someone to walk with you through those difficulties.

I grew up in an evangelical Christian home and as an adolescent and young adult, I came to embrace the Christian faith as my own. I have seen God work through counseling to bring about tremendous change in hearts and lives, and I am honored to support that kind of change in those I work with. I work well with individuals with depression, anxiety, self-harm, trauma, anger, and relationship issues.

I have a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary, and I feel that my training has equipped me well to integrate my faith perspective into counseling. I am also happy to answer any questions you may have about my personal theology and how that impacts my work as a counselor.

I’d love to connect with you and support you in your journey!

Melissa is amazing! She listens well, and is very responsive in our sessions! Her mix of allowing you to open up and then providing concise feedback is awesome! I really enjoy her as a person and her guidance! Thank you!
