About Me

Hello. I am a licensed professional counselor in Houston, TX with one mission in mind; helping my clients rise above their circumstances. I have over 20 years of experience in helping others, 8 of which were in a hospital setting. My competency of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy has been reviewed and certified by the Academy of Cognitive Therapy. I am well versed in Christianity and the Holy Scriptures and believe in a non-judgmental approach to therapy. I also incorporate other modalities of therapy as individually needed.

My counseling style is interactive, structured when appropriate, and person-centered. This means helping you so that you will not only learn how to cope better with your current challenge but future ones too. My goal is to assist you in taking your life back by learning how to deal with the challenges that disrupt mental health and emotional stability. It is to provide a safe haven to rise above insecurities while erasing doubt, awakening potential, and empowering you to break through the roadblocks that are disrupting your Christian journey and in the way of you discovering YOUR GREATEST SELF.

My passion to help others began as a young girl. Inspiring people to believe in them self, and find a uniqueness about them self to be proud of was my “Middle name.” I gently reminded them to believe in the possibility of achieving their dreams. I soon began to realize that my life's purpose is to inspire people and help them overcome obstacles in their life so they can flourish. Since becoming a professional counselor, I have helped my clients develop skills that allow them to reach new heights in spite of past events or recent difficulties in their life. I have provided tools to help my clients achieve goals they never thought possible, and for others, assisted them with finding peace of mind.

Are you ready to rise above your circumstances? Sure you are, and I’m looking forward to working with you.

Michelle is a great counselor. She keeps me focused and goal oriented, and gives me really great advice. Because she is a devoted Christian, she has great character, as well. I appreciate that she and I remember to pray in each session. I would recommend her to anyone who is serious about their Christianity and needs help with their relationships.
