Welcome to my profile page! My official title is Dr. Nancy Delaney, PhD, Professional Counselor. Call me Nancy. My hope is to create a comfortable therapeutic relationship with you using our common Christian orientation as the foundation.
A little bit about my religious background. I was raised Presbyterian until high school, then switched to a Baptist church for a few years. I went to a small Methodist University and then met my husband who was raised Catholic and worked in a Catholic Church. We were married in the Catholic church. I became Catholic shortly after that to be able to raise our children in one Church.
Now, more importantly, a little bit about my spiritual background. While I was raised in a variety of religious venues, I find my relationship with God is much more personal. I see Him in nature and in the little ways things happen. My core spiritual values are faith, grace and gratitude. My prayer every morning is for me to stay out of my own way so God can work through me. That is how I approach counseling. I don't have answers, but I have a belief that God will guide me if I am quiet and listen.
I love hearing how God works through people. Our counseling process will undoubtably reveal ways in which God is working in both our lives.

It's so helpful to have a fresh perspective on my situations. Dr. Delaney is both insightful and supportive.
We've only had one session so far plus several emails before and since, but in that short amount of time, I'm VERY pleased and would recommend her to EVERYONE!
