About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have more than twenty years of experience working within schools, child welfare systems, other social service organizations, and private practice to support individuals and families. I view my career as a spiritual calling. My education consists of a Doctor of Social Work, Master of Social Work, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Social Work. I am humbled by how God allows me to utilize faith, experience, and knowledge to be part of the change process.

I grew part of the Christian faith in my early college years, attending church, singing in the church chorus. The church has and continues to be a vital part of my rearing., I understand how God has aided a path for me to serve Him by serving others. I recognize being spiritually grounded can be challenging when experiencing problems. I am passionate about supporting individuals and helping them to live more healthy and productive lives. I do believe people are change agents. I take the role of counseling as sacrificial because of the courage it takes to work on oneself. I acknowledge and value people's life experiences, and I am blessed to have the opportunity to support hope, healing, and revival in the counseling journey.

Dr. Mitchell gives me the push and umph I need to get my life on track. He listens, guides, and is patient even when I am difficult. He takes pride in his work and expertise and is NOT lazy! I recommend him as a therapist 10 times over!

Dr. Mitchell has been very helpful in directing me to selfcare, setting boundaries and letting things go that I am not responsible for. My anxiety is no longer a controlling factor of my life and I'm so thankful!!!!

Dr. Mitchell is a great counselor! He is good at discernment and reading between the lines to get to the bottom of the situation or problem when you’re talking. I feel comfortable talking to him. His response time to my messages and journals is always incredibly fast. He will be totally honest with you. He is big on knowing how you feel and understanding why you feel that way.

Work with me!
