Congratulations in taking the first step towards the healing you can find in Jesus! I received my Master's Degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in 2015. My years at this university taught me how to integrate my faith in counseling in a way that uses God's Word with techniques that have years of sound research in the counseling field. My life verse is 2 Corinthians 5:17; "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." (ESV). True healing can be found in God's word, and building in time to spend 1 on 1 with the Lord in our brokenness is often the first step. The Lord loves us despite our faults, we just have to take the steps necessary to turn to Him for guidance. I hope that you take this opportunity to get to know a counselor and make steps towards personal healing!
