Hi, my name is Ofori Asante and I am a licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro, and earned a Master’s in Counseling and Sociology from Texas A&M University – Commerce.
I have been a licensed professional counselor for the past 10 years and his clinical background includes work with couples, adolescents, and families. I have been married for the past eight years and have two beautiful children.
I have vast experience working with those who suffer from depression, self-esteem, and anxiety. I also have a wealth of experience working with those struggling with, phobias, self-worth, poor relationships, and grief.
I completed my doctoral education in Texas A&M University – Commerce looking at marital satisfaction among Filipino Americans and European Americans in intercultural Marriages. Some of the major approaches used includes Cognitive behavior therapy, emotionally focused, and Pact theoretical approach.
I was the Truax Scholarship recipient in 2005 and the outstanding master’s level student in the department of Counseling Texas A&M University – Commerce in 2003 and 2005 year.
Being practical in therapy, I tend to have encourage clients do outside work to enhance the therapeutic process. My approach to treatment is an integrative approach so using other approaches are also considered. These approaches tend to allow for greater and longer lasting change.

At times due to life demands schedules becomes complex so I have weekends and some flexible schedules that will accommodate the needs of families, couples, and individuals.
