I am a Counselor and a Christian. My style is eclectic. I incorporate multiple theories and models into our work together. I have completed training in Gestalt Psychotherapy and Attachment theory. I'm well-read, so I use other approaches in my work too, and like all counselors, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I am most comfortable when I can incorporate Christianity into our work together. I feel most alive when I work within my Christain Faith to support clients to facilitate change. I will incorporate nutrition and exercise into conversations as well when asked. My style is straight-forward and direct. I see our relationship as a partnership in a collaborative process. You know you, I know psychology. We work together to figure out what you might address to improve your life. My focus is on your strengths, and I work to empower you to see things differently to feel better.
I enjoy helping people with anxiety and depression. I understand addiction and how to support family members of a person with an addiction. I enjoy working with couples. I have completed the Gottman phase 1 training for Marriage Counseling. I like working with children and teens. I have experience with schizophrenia, OCD, Selective Mutism, Hoarding, Bipolar, and chronic mental health diagnosis. I'm skilled in Parenting Concerns. I've worked as a mobile therapist with children and teen, I have experience supporting autism in both males and female clients. I've also worked with children with Oppositional Defiant Disorder and ADD and ADHD. I've also worked in crisis and inpatient mental health.
