Rachael Hyatt

About Me

I believe in God and Jesus Christ and believe that we are all children of God. I believe that God loves all his children and wants us to be happy. Through Jesus Christ, I believe that we can find healing and happiness. Providing counseling is a way that I can assist others to find joy and be able to access the fullness of God's love.

I work with people of all Christian faiths, and specialize in anxiety, stress, relationship issues, depression, grief, loss, and living with chronic illness. I provide therapy that is based in CBT, and use methodology from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness. I have found success in these methodologies as they provide understanding and context to our thoughts, enable us to understand our emotions, and help us to modify negative and destructive thoughts behaviors.

My personal philosophy in incorporating faith into my practice is to understand your relationship with God and Christ, and use that relationship to heal, find strength, and feel the love of God. I believe that if you bring faith into your therapeutic journey and draw upon the healing power of Christ, counseling can be very meaningful and successful.

My favorite piece of scripture is from Philippians 4:13 - "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

If there is anything clear about Rachael Hyatt, it's that she is dedicated. She is determined to help to the best of her ability, and I found her to be very dependable. She is more than willing to dive in, preferring details to general ideas, making you accountable for what you say. It's something we should all do with ourselves--hold ourselves accountable not just for our actions, but the words we use to express our intentions, and who we are as individuals.

Rachel is amazing! She’s the best counselor I’ve had so far. She listens well and asks a ton of questions to really get to the root of my feelings. She’s also super non-judgmental which has been a huge relief as I’ve experienced that with other counselors. Lastly, she always offers way for me to look at situations from different perspectives but isn’t too pushy with her opinions. She allows me the space to get there on my own. I highly recommend her to anyone!

Rachael is a great counselor who listens to my needs and concerns and guides me when I am in a confusing place. She is supportive on all ends and ensures to follow up and check in, in a nonjudgemental way. She validates my concerns and we build a plan together that is best for me. She is an awesome respectful, impactful counselor. Much appreciated advice, even the advice that is necessary and not wanting to hear. She's A+!

Rachael has been very helpful in identifying what my issues are and in finding ways that are helpful. She asks poignant questions that require me to dig deep into my mind and learn more about myself.
She responds in a timely manner and has offered to converse via phone and video. But I have found just messaging is beneficial.

Mrs. Rachael gives good advice and she is a good listener. She is the best fit for me.

She is great. Prior to her, I had a counselor that would ask me questions and I would respond in a long paragraph with full details so he could get a feel to what I was feeling, and it seems like he wouldn't read it because then he would ask me questions I had already answered in my paragraph. But Rachael thoroughly read my messages, and reply according to what my concerns were. so I yes I highly recommend her!
