Hello and welcome! I am so glad that you are here and are taking the first step towards healing and improving your current situation. My name is Rachel Stuart. I am a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Mississippi with over five years of experience working in a community mental health center performing individual and group therapy while coordinating a Senior Psychosocial Rehabilitation program for residents in a nursing facility. I am also a National Board Certified counselor. I received both my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and my Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Mississippi College, a Christian university.
I would like to share with you my personal testimony of how God encouraged and has shaped my career in counseling. You see, I was not raised in a Christian home or brought up with a church family. In fact, I thought those people were just entirely different than me. I thought that I was too dirty, too unworthy, too scarred, to ever walk with them or even consider walking with Christ.
My life had what seemed to me more than my fair share of challenges from the very beginning, and I struggled every day just existing. Things reached the breaking point for me after my fiance and I were hit by a drunk driver while walking one night. He died that night, and the last thing I remember was him reaching out to push me just enough so that the impact did not kill me. The problem was that after losing him that way, I really wished it had.
In my utter brokenness and despair, I started making plans to take my own life. Miraculously, my plans were always thwarted by somebody or something even though I never told a soul. God made himself so plain to me in this dark time and helped me to realize that I am alive for a purpose.
His purpose for me is to use all that I have learned from my hardships, from my loss, and my suffering to be of service to those who are wounded. You see I know about depression, grief and loss, and feelings of hopelessness from first hand experience which taught me more about these issues than I ever learned from reading a textbook.
I successfully overcame all of these things with the help of my Saviour and helped many others do the same. I would love to help you as well. He is the ultimate healer, and I am honored to be a servant to Him and of service to you in your journey towards healing. I think God has brought us together right now for a reason. That reason is to help you improve upon your life and current situation. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. I look forward to learning more about you as well!

Rachel has been an awesome person to talk to. Right off the bat she was interested in me and learning about me to better understand and help. She responds, much more quickly than expected, and is so friendly it is easy to talk and confide in her. I can’t imagine anyone not feeling comfortable with her.
She is incredible, and has helped me even in just a short time.
