About me
I am a Clinical Social Worker licensed in Florida with over 20 years working in the field of social work and 11 years of experience working as a therapist. I am Certified in Biblical Counseling and predominately focus my work on scripture and faith-based modalities.
I have worked with many populations to include children struggling with attachment, grief, and sensory dysregulation; adolescents struggling with emotional regulation, executive functioning, and peer relationships; adults experiencing domestic violence, trauma, anxiety, or addictions; and active duty military struggling with the realities of deployment and reintegration. I have worked in inpatient settings, outpatient settings, forensic/court systems, and in community development settings.
I am also Certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and specialize in working with neurodivergent populations such as Autism Spectrum Disorders. My desire is to come alongside someone in times of hardship, meet them where they are, and help them become the best version of themselves possible. I do believe that faith and a sense of purpose greater than yourself are key components to life-long healing.
My therapy style is direct but warm. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I don't believe in utilizing stigmatizing labels.
