About me

Hi there!

Thank you for taking a quick peek at my profile! While you are here, I wanted to quickly share that I am a experienced therapist based out of Littleton, CO. I love the role I get to have in people’s lives to help them out of tough situations. My life experiences include: military experience, having honorably served in the Army Reserves with deployment to Iraq, married and have three preteen children, as well as working with people with severe mental illness in a psychiatry facility.

With that said, I can relate well with many types of people, and don’t discriminate or think people are “crazy”. I know what it’s like to feel hopeless, scared, confused, anxious, frustrated and ready to give up. There is hope in managing these emotions!

This is where I shine - providing hope when people are ready to give up. I mostly work from a CBT approach (psychojargon for looking at how thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected), and Solutions Focused approaches, which taps into what is working well, and tweaking those thoughts and actions that aren’t working well. We will do this together and go at your pace.

People tend to describe me as kind and caring, yet firm in speaking truth when needed.

If all this sounds good and worth a try, I’m ready and looking forward to working with you!

I offer text based messages on Sat and Sun, and live sessions during the week. My main days that I work this platform are Friday through Tuesday, and I check the room typically twice a day and will respond when I have time.

Thanks for looking and hope to talk with you soon!

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Ryan Espinoza. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

When I first heard about this app, I was unsure of what it would entail. My understanding was the only way to have effective counciling was to meet face to face. One worry that I had about counciling was that the councilor might get overwhelmed and possibly think, "Doesn't this person ever have a good day?" Or "I'm so sick and tired of hearing about everyone's damn problems!"

Well, as much as we're all human, who do think that from time to time, I have to say I appreciate that Ryan is and always has been such an amazing person to talk to. Even though there have been times when I wonder if I'm talking about myself too much, and want to find out more about him; he's there with a friendly laugh, and is happy to share. I was also pleasantly surprised that there have been times when my phone had been blown up because he had been sending stuff he thought would help me! He cares about people, and has a desire to listen that goes beyond what he's agreed to when he got his certifications; and for that I think the would would be better off if there were more people like him.

Better help is an amazing service for people who need it, and who knows how many lives have been saved thanks to councilors like Ryan.

I'm still relatively new to counseling and betterhelp in general, but he was my second counselor and he's doing a good job of listening. I felt unheard by my first counselor, and Ryan has listened to me very well thus far.
