About Me

I believe that the narratives that we live with greatly determine how we experience life and express ourselves. My passion is to meet clients in that space of their story and help them move towards their goals in an effective and caring way utilizing a client-centered approach and the latest in relevant clinical research.

I have an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from a CACREP university. I am an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), an NCC (National Certified Counselor), and am working on several different certifications in trauma. In addition to that, I have an Associate in Biblical Studies and am working toward a Masters in Bible and Theology.

I am certified in Prepare/Enrich(P/E)(https://www.prepare-enrich.com/). It is the #1 marriage, family, and premarital assessment in the country and is backed by an incredible amount of data. Once you have experienced P/E's benefits and insights, you will be thankful that you engaged in it.

I have over 20 years of experience working with all age groups in various contexts, such as private practice, community mental health, college counseling centers, and church settings. In addition to that, I am also a Clinical Director that oversees three different sites and several interns.

I have been involved in full and part-time ministry for over 20 years, and I understand the toll that it can take on the individual/couple and family involved in it. I served four years as a missionary in Mexico, working with remote indigenous groups on various projects. I then served as a missionary for ten years in the United States at a Bible College in multiple roles, mainly working with students in the Student Life Department as a Dean.
