About me
I am by no means a biblical scholar. I simply recognize the role that God has played in my life (personal and professional) and I give him the praise and thanks that he deserves. I like to share his glory with others.
I am a LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor) currently licensed in Florida. I have 3 years experience in this capacity, as well as 24 years as a para-professional providing crisis response services (CISM, Peer Support) to First Responders (I am a retired Law Enforcement Officer with 28 years of experience). In addition to my first responder work, I have also had the pleasure of providing counseling services to many of the same people that I had arrested. I mention this because it is not where you've been or where you're at, but where you want to be. I value the person.
I have worked with clients over trauma issues, anxiety, depression, coping, existential/quality of life concerns, etc. I take an integrative approach to counseling, adjusting to best serve the client's needs. I am direct and factual in my approach with clients, as I don't believe in ambiguity or leaving someone guessing. That being said, effective counseling also requires warmth, caring and support. I find that a sprinkling of appropriate humor helps to facilitate the process, but most of all, sincerity is the key to a successful collaborative experience.
I bring a lot of life experience to counseling, especially trauma/crisis issues for First Responders. I do not just talk the talk, I have walked the walk.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Scott Wetherhold. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Faithful Counseling might be different.
Scott is an amazing counselor and uses a variety of techniques to reach his patients. I could not recommend him more.
Me Wetherhold has helped me identify the roots of many of the problems I have been dealing with over the last several months. I leave every session feeling better and more confident in the way I handle my responses to feelings I come across in my day to day. You can tell he is a genuine guy, and I am very thankful for him.
Scott Wetherhold is the BEST therapist, and has helped Me greatly so far with only a few sessions. He has wonderful knowledge and expertise in many different areas of distress. I am happy I have him as my Therapist to walk through this journey with, and am looking forward to continuing to work with him in all my future sessions. Love his Approach to counseling!!
I was paired with a counselor who is firmly grounded, well schooled, a faithful listener who provided me the direction and help I was sorely in need of. I appreciated his Biblical background and the wisdom applied from that background. I would heartily recommend Scott to anyone in need of clear thinking and moving you to a path forward to stability in your life, providing you are serious in desiring this. I am most grateful for Scott’s help!
He has a lots of wisdom
