I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in Indiana, Kentucky, and Florida with 8 years of experience working in a variety of positions including addictions counselor, inpatient social worker, and outpatient therapist. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, addiction, life transitions, and self esteem issues. I have also helped many people who have experienced trauma, both chronic and acute. My faith comes first in all that I do, and I use my relationship with Christ to not only put a band-aide on problems but to get to the root of them!
My counseling style is compassionate and goal-oriented. I believe everyone is as unique as their finger print, with a set of life experiences, physical makeup, and social dynamics that are completely one-of-a-kind and all deserving of respect and understanding. So I tend to not stick to one technique, but rather pull from a variety that best fits the individual needs and desires including cognitive behavioral, solutions focused, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and narrative therapy. This incorporates God's beautiful design for us to each have our own story that He wants to write. I want to meet you where you are at and work together on solutions because we all need help at one point or another!
It it wonderful that you have taken the first step because it is not an easy one and you should be proud! Whenever you are ready, I would love to partner along side you and God to help navigate whatever situation you are going through with kindness and determination.
I look forward to working with you!

I immediately feel a weight lifted off my shoulders when I’m talking to Shannon, I really feel like she understands me and has drawn me out of my comfort zone. She relates so well and meets me where I’m at!
Shannon has played a major role in the healing process in my life. I have been able to overcome some major issues and reach goals because of her. I love working with her. She is God sent! I would recommend her to others.
Shannon is fantastic! It's such a blessing to have someone to talk to who can understand where I'm coming from and just be there as I work through my life "stuff."
Shannon is a great help. She really understands what is going on and seems to hit the nail on the head with certain assessments. I've been learning a lot about myself because of her help pointing out things I didn't think about before.
I appreciate Shannon giving worksheets right away. She's been very helpful and I appreciate her responding multiple times a week. I have a hectic schedule and being able to write my thoughts without having to schedule a face to face meeting has been great.
Shannon Cunningham is a splendid, bright, positive, experienced and caring individual. She treats her clients with the support that is that of a friend, while still maintaining her expertise, knowledge and professionalism. I appreciate and love her. <3 Thank you for providing this valued service.
