BACP

About me

I am a dual national Black British, with wide international training and practice experience. As a British psychotherapist, I am Member of BACP, registered to practice in the UK. I am also an Associate counselling psychologist, with a MSc, marriage and family emphasis, licensed to practice in Jamaica and the Caribbean (Jampsych). I believe this gives me a deeper understanding of cross cultures, multicultural, multifaith and intergenerational issues. I am skilled to serve the unique needs of the local and international diaspora and those feeling displaced, downhearted and despondent.
I also have clinical and pastoral training (Scotland), offering spiritual counselling for those who desire a faith based perspective.

I have over 20 years experience, working in clinical, private, school, church and local community settings. 12 of those years has been as an associate counselling psychologist at a large faith based university.
I have worked with clients of all ages dealing with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, spiritual concerns, career challenges, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD. I also helped many people who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE's) and trauma as well as those experiencing migration, relocation loss.

My therapy style is warm, interactive, accepting, unique and specific to you. I am trained in creative arts and play therapy (UK & USA), meaning there are many ways to open up, talk and freely express. We will walk together at your pace, to your shape.
Regardless of how deep the wound or how long the scars, here is a safe, accepting space for holistic healing for body, mind and spirit.
