About me

I am a dual national Black British, with wide international training and practice experience. As a British psychotherapist, I am Member of BACP, registered to practice in the UK. I am also an Associate counselling psychologist, with a MSc, licensed to practice in Jamaica and the Caribbean (Jampsych). I believe this gives me a deeper understanding of cross cultures and multicultural issues. I am skilled to serve the unique needs of the local and international diaspora and those feeling displaced.

I also have clinical and pastoral training (Uk), offering spiritual counselling for those who desire a spiritual perspective.

I have over 20 years experience, working in clinical, university, school, church and local community settings. I have worked with clients of all ages dealing with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, spiritual concerns, career challenges, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD. I also helped many people who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE's) and trauma as well as those experiencing migration, relocation loss.

My therapy style is warm, interactive & accepting. We walk together at your pace. I am person centered and take an Eclectic therapy approach. Using multiple modalities & techniques allows me to support you in a way that best meets your unique and specific needs.

I believe there are many ways to talk.
At your request, we may utilise creative therapy, (therapeutic play & play therapy trained UK and USA) as a way to help you to open up and feel free to share your experience. I am committed to tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet you where you are.

Taking the first step to reach out for therapy is a brave one. It takes courage. Well done!!

I am happy to walk along side you on the journey to holistic healing!

Sharon has a lovely empathetic and considerate approach to therapy which helped me to warm to her straight away. It meant a lot (in terms of my faith) that she is willing to pray for me and with me. She’s helped me to make some real breakthroughs right from the first session. She always responds to messages in a reasonable amount of time and gives me good exercises I can do by myself between sessions. I would highly recommend her expertise.

Sharon is a very kind, enjoyable and intuitive therapist who listens and responds to what you say with great thought and care. She makes you feel comfortable at all times and allows me to feel like I can speak freely and openly about any issue. Definitely the best therapist I have come across on this platform.
