About me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, licensed by the state of Michigan. I have over 25 years of experience counseling clients, with depression, anxiety, addiction, lifestyle adjustments, and grief/loss. I I have been a Christian for over 30 years.
I have had the privilege of working for the Salvation Army, where I was able to provide Christian counseling to clients, for eight years. I was able to use the word of God with my counseling skills to help clients to be confident, motivated, and encouraged . Therapy is a collaborative process. I will use the tools of Motivation Interviewing to assist clients in identifying problems, prioritize them, and develop goals. I am a natural Motivator and I will encourage to stay on track in your journey. Also, I will use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to dispel negative belief/ mindsets, by the Word of God, that can hinder clients in their journey.
I applaud your decision to seek Christian Therapy. I will join with you to use your Christian values to assist you in the change process. I look forward to working with you!

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Sharon Calhoun. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Faithful Counseling might be different.
Sharon has helped me through some difficult situations and emotions. I am very grateful for Sharon.
Sharon is the sweetest! My absolute best experiences with therapy were with her. I haven’t been able to continue with counseling due to finances, but if you have the opportunity to work with her, don’t hesitate. She’ll pray with you, encourage you, make you laugh, and laugh at your jokes. I enjoyed how she always came across as a Sister in Christ and shared her own backstory as well. It was such a blessing and we made so much progress in the time I worked with Sharon.
She was caring and real. I felt more like I was talking with a family member vs. a counselor.
Love her! She has so much patience!
