About Me

Hello! My name is Shasta Sitton. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State, and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Michigan. I have been practicing therapy for over 12 years both in person and online. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric clients experiencing a variety of problems ranging from adjustment concerns to acute or longterm mental illness. I specialize in trauma and sexual assault, but also have extensive experience with anxiety, depression, OCD, eating disorders, grief, relationship issues, and self esteem.

My clinical approach is based in Behavioral and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies. In addition, I utilize techniques and perspectives from Gestalt Therapy, Play Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, EMDR, and Art Therapy. These models are used to assist the individual in finding solutions and relief for their problems. The course of treatment is discussed, mutually agreed upon, and tailored for each individual’s needs.

I believe that establishing a strong rapport between a client and myself is the core of good therapy.
