I became a Christian 30 years ago after hearing the good news of Jesus Christ. I attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago to gain more insight into the Bible. I believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ and the promise of spending eternity in heaven with Him. One of my favorite Bible verses is John 16.33, "These things I have spoken to you, that in me you shall have peace, in the world you shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer for I have overcome the world." It is my belief that we can have peace through Christ if we yield and submit our concerns to his care.
Jesus talked about having an abundant life. To me that means a life filled with hope, peace and anticipation for the future. The Holy Spirit takes up residence in the life of the believer and offers help and support and guidance as we yield to the spirit. Our faith is progressive through our life and we often experience difficult times and question God. I have learned that I can be honest and transparent with God. That is why the Bible describes Him as the "wonderful counselor."
Having a relationship with Christ has shaped my counseling philosophy in many ways. Jesus is kind, patient, wants the best for me, is gentle when I get off track and leads me back to the right way, never gives up on me, cares about my sufferings and sorrows and produces character as a result of those sufferings. The comfort that I have received in my sufferings, I want to share with those that are hurting. My belief is that people are hurting. God loves people. God loves hurting people and wants them to be healed.
It would be my honor to walk with you as you grow in your faith and allow God to help you through the process of healing.

I've just recently reconnected with Sheila. She was helpful during my previous sessions. I would recommend Sheila for counseling. She is empathetic and caring and makes me feel like she is my sister more than just a counselor.
I am so grateful for Sheila and Faithful Counseling. I live in a rural area with no such resource available in person. Sheila is exceptional both in her knowledge and compassion. In less than a month I am experiencing personal victories because of the Lord moving through her. I highly recommend Sheila.
Thoughtful, active listener who is very responsive. She provided several different tools to help me think through my current situation. Can't recommend highly enough.
It's so nice having Sheila to talk to, whether I feel happy, sad, lonely, mad, or stressed. I'm so glad we got connected through this website!
I have been working with Sheila for a little over two weeks and I have made much progress. Sheila has offered me methods to communicate my emotions to others and myself, and to work through the emotions very successfully. I feel truly blessed that my prayers were answered when the Lord brought Sheila my way. Thank you Sheila!
Sheila is wonderful. She's caring, compassionate, listens, and gives good perspective. She makes time to respond and have sessions together. I highly recommend her!
Sheila has been great! She gets back to me quickly and tries to give this mixed up lady guidance. From all appearances, she is warm, caring and truly wants to help. I have found it easy to open up to her and ask for her help. I feel she is a valuable asset to your team of professionals.
So far Sheila had been great. She gets back to me in a timely manner and I’m able to just randomly get on and vent and know that she will get back to me with a good solution or good options for me to think about. She definitely has experience with many topics.
