About me

Hi! I'm so excited that you've decided to seek some support! I'm a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Nevada and Texas and a licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in Texas. I have over 12 years working with a variety of people from varying backgrounds. I've provided counseling in private practice, schools, in patient treatment centers, and military bases. My specialities include anxiety, depression, relationship issues, addiction, coping and more.
I have two master's degrees; one in counseling psychology and one in religious studies from Southern CA Seminary. My approach to counseling is to partner with you to determine what's working and what's not. I then support you as you decide what changes you'd like to make and together we'll create the steps to make those changes.
My style is warm, empathetic and direct. I believe in you and your ability to create the life you want. I use a variety of interventions depending on what your needs are as counseling is never "one size fits all."
I can't wait to get to know you and your unique challenges so we can begin the journey to change. I know it takes a lot of courage to get to a place in your life where you're ready for something different.
Thanks so much for reaching out! I look forward to speaking with you!!!

Shelley is an incredible therapist! She really understands me and is super patient with me. She is willing to help me identify the flaws in my own thinking and my behaviors in a way that is non-judgmental but helps me make improvements for the better.
I have worked with several therapists in my life and have never felt as understood and "seen" as I have with Shelley. I highly recommend!

Shelly is an amazing therapist who can mix both her professional learning with her understanding of "real life" issues. I find her understanding, caring and intuitive in our sessions.. She seems to have the ability to get me t think beyond the surface and challenges me to look at look at myself differently.

I’ve been with Shelly for about a year and I have seen SO much growth since the beginning! I have learning new things to watch out for that I didn’t know before and have learned the techniques that work best for me in bettering my anxiety. I tried other counselors before and she’s the best!
