About me

Hi my name is Sinora Shaw, BA, MSW, LCSW. I am licensed as a Clinical Social Worker. I have been practicing for over 20 years with experience working with children, adults couples and families. My areas of expertise include: Stress management, trauma, anxiety and depression, grief and loss, family/relationship issues, trauma informed care, and personal growth. I utilizes a multidimensional approach to therapy using a cognitive behavioral therapy while, exploring each individual's biological, psychological, social, and spiritual needs. She desires to come along side others to assist them in healing from trauma, building self-worth, improving communication in their relationships, and reaching their goals. She also provides Christian counseling based on Biblical values.
I suffer from bi-polar so I am empathetic with those who are suffering from a vast of illnesses that come under that umbrella. I have been diagnosed with Bi-polar for over 25 years. I believe that all the trauma that I have experience in life makes me a therapist who can come along side of those suffering from mental health illnesses as well as the problems that come along with everyday struggles you may have. I look forward to working with you.

It’s unbelievable how much she has helped me with my struggles with trauma in my past, and helped my wife and I as I brought those traumas into our marriage. I’m not sure I’d still be married if it wasn’t for Sinora and BetterHelp. Thank you

Sinora is a wonderful woman of God that is kind, compassionate, caring, and listens very well. She helps me see things in a positive light. She is always on time, responds to my messages, and have a great attitude. She helps me face things that I have ignored unintentionally and acknowledging patterns that aren’t good for my growth while replacing these habits with positive solutions, practices, and new positive habits. I’ve actually recommended her to several of my friends.

I’ve been working with Sinora for a few months now. She has helped me understand my feelings a little better and what I can focus on to change outcomes or change my perspective. I like that she always supportive and suggests tools, coping skill and assignments to help me beyond our sessions. Healing takes time, and I’m so comfortable being so open and vulnerable with her. She creates a safe space to open up and I’m grateful for it.
