About me

My name is Steve Weiss and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Arizona. I have been in the field for many years and am committed to my clients' journey of recovery from anxiety, depression, substance use, trauma, etc. My clinical specialties are couples and family therapy, Christian counseling, as well as counseling for anxiety, depression, and general life issues. My clinical philosophy is to start where my clients are at; I understand that changes are complex and ultimately a choice. My approach is to empower clients to look at their strengths, and challenges and assist them in deciding what changes if any, they wish to make. As my faith is the central core of my life, I am skilled at working with clients from a Christian perspective. I strive to always be transparent and "clinically humble", and understand that the client is the expert regarding his or her life. Finally, therapy for me starts with the therapeutic relationship which I work to develop with all my clients as we are all brothers and sisters in the Body of Christ.
