About Me

Welcome! It takes more strength and courage to pursue change than it does to remain in an unhealthy pattern or situation. I can offer a warm, supportive, safe, confidential environment conducive to growth and change. I have been a Christian for most of my life and currently maintain a close relationship with Jesus Christ. I believe in the Holy Bible and the power of the Holy Spirit. Because Jesus is also named the Great Counselor, I use scripture and the gospel message as a foundation for therapy. I pray regularly for those I am helping and will encourage you along your spiritual journey.

I have a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology and am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in both Michigan and Indiana. I have many years of professional experience as well as personal experience with transitions, life stresses, and living in another country and culture. If you suffer from trauma, depression, anxiety, parenting issues, communication problems, chemical abuse, or grief, I can help. If you are looking for help with growth in relationships, learning more about yourself, transitioning to a new life phase, and generally flourishing in life, I am here for you. I have a relational approach to psychotherapy and can tailor therapy and a treatment plan to your specific needs. I believe God is a relational being and is concerned with all aspects of your life. Together we can look at unhelpful patterns in your life as well as work to heal the hurt life brings.

I would be honored to work with you through this very personal process.

Talking to susan has helped me in many ways to where I have learn so much and still do. Susan does help me tremendously with copping with my narcissistic spouse and to focus in my life with great advice and counseling.

Susan is so helpful. She gives me excellent suggestions and ideas on how to communicate better, helps me understand my own issues, and prays for me no matter what’s going on. I couldn’t imagine having a better, more knowledgeable counselor.

Susan is very calming in her interactions and guidance. She is very helpful with clinical suggestions on how to tackle anxiety and approach things differently, but also gives a good Biblical perspective on how I am handling things. I look forward to our time talking together and she is helping me sort out issues and be patient with myself while doing so.

Susan is amazing!! I feel validated by her, but also convicted in her advice she gives me. I have been comfortable with her, from our first session! Thank you Susan!

I am in awe of the wisdom Susan Roney brings to the session. She is thoughtful and understanding of my thoughts and opinions. She never makes me feel like I am wrong for feeling a certain way. She has a warm spirit that radiates throughout the session.
