Susan LeMay

(MS, LPC)

About Me

I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas for over 10 years. My primary experience has been with individuals, adolescents, and families in a Christian and religious (primarily Methodist) environment. Most of my experience has been inv overcoming trauma, depression, anxiety, stress management, chronic pain, grief, parenting skills, anger management, productive communication, and life transitions.

I have been raised in the Methodist and Baptist Faith, though have been educating myself in many other whelms and traditions of other Christian faiths. I do not profess to be an expert in any particular faith/traditions though, share the concept in Jesus Christ as my Savior. I enjoy learning more about the many Christian traditions! I do not have any formal training in Christianity.

My goal is to provide a non-confrontational, safe, and supportive therapeutic environment. I believe in the power of a compassionate therapeutic relationship to bring about positive change. My approach utilizes person-centered, solution-focus, cognitive-behavioral, and dialectical-behavior interventions. I tailor my methods based on your personality and preferences to meet your individual and specific needs.

It takes courage to take the first step in seeking assistance to meet your goals to lead a fulfilling life and find your joy. If you are ready, I am available to walk this journey with you.

I look forward to beginning this journey with you!

Susan has a lot of insight and really listens. She is kind but also challenges me, which I need! She is not stagnant in her practice either. She stays current on old and new ways to help her clients. I am grateful to have found her!

She is great. Very understanding and patient. Provides with great advise and any available resources to assist with my personal needs. Extremely professional but very friendly. She’s getting me through the most difficult time of my life without losing my mind.
