My name is Susan Murati, and I am Licensed as a Mental Health Counselor in Massachusetts, and as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor in New Hampshire. I am also a Cultural Psychologist.
I have over 18 years of experience doing counseling. I completed my Bachelor's degree at Emmanuel College in Boston, my Master's in Public Health at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, and my Doctorate in Psychology (Culture and Human Behavior) at the California School of Professional Psychology, San Diego. I have treated clients with many general challenges, from trauma to family conflicts, and to depression, anxiety, and ADHD, just to name a few.
I was raised in the Catholic faith, and I have a strong belief in God, Who has helped me personally in some major areas and challenges in my life. At times I have prayed with my clients at the beginning or end of a session, if they wish to do so, to make sure that God is recognized as a major part of our work together. It is important to me to connect with clients, to establish trust and warmth, and to let them know that they are not alone.
