About Me

Hello and Welcome! My name is Susan (Suzie) Spehling, LCSW, CCBT, CH.t. I am a Christian and practice Christian counseling. My Education: I graduated from Portland State University with my Master’s in Social Work in 2004. I earned by Baccalaureate in Sociology and Family Relations in 2000. I earned by Associate’s Degree in Human Biology in 1996. I earned my title of Certified Cognitive-Behavioral Therapist (CCBT) in 2015 through the National Association of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapists (NACBT). I earned my hypnotherapy certification through NACBT in 2007 to support people with medical procedures and recovery. I use Christian counseling for couples therapy. I have earned numerous advanced certification’s in Relationship Therapy, Depression, Anxiety, and Anger, to name a few. I am a member of the NACBT. My Practice and Training: I have been in private practice since 2012, providing couples counseling successfully! I use the latest tools for excellent, effective communication, while training couples about the most common mental mistakes that cause problems in relationships from a biblical perspective. I provide training to the Federal Government. I am trained in Mental Health Disaster Relief. I have been a supervisor to upcoming therapists since 2012. I specialize in Rational Living Therapy. My Philosophy: Distance does not make the heart grow fonder. Relationships are not mysteries, but they do take work. I provide support packets for couples and access to CD's to assist with improving your relationship! We are all fallible human beings, but we have the ability to shape our own destiny with just a few tools we already possess! I support and assist with your therapeutic goals and your goals for life! This is your time to live a Happier, Healthier Life, no matter the situation! At the end of therapy, couples will possess and easily access the tools and skills necessary to master and enjoy healthier thoughts feelings and behaviors, as together, you complete your journey to excellent mental health!
