Tammy Weinke

About Me

Welcome to Faithful Counseling! I know how hard it can be to seek counseling, so know that you have taken a very important first step.

My name is Tammy Weinke, I am a Christian and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Wisconsin. I have been a Christian since I was a teenager, and believe I was called into counseling to help others through difficult times in life. I experienced many of my own traumatic experiences, and discovered that the Lord was there for me through them all. He often put people in my path at just the right time, to help me through; I hope to also be used by the Lord to help others through the stormy seasons of life. I believe it is important to have a Christian worldview when counseling, as secular counseling leaves Christ out of the picture. It is difficult, if not impossible, to find true healing without considering your relationship with God.

I have over 4 years of experience in counseling (including private Christian counseling), and over 7 working in the mental health field. I have experience and training in many areas of mental health, including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship issues, women’s issues, and Christian counseling. I have my Master of Arts degree in Counseling/ Psychology from Bethel University in St. Paul, MN, a private evangelical Christian University.

I believe that we are each gifted, and each wounded. Sadness, life meaning, stress, anxiety, motivation, conflicts, emptiness- no one escapes the extraordinary challenges of being human. As a Christian counselor, I strive to provide a safe, nurturing, nonjudgmental relationship in which people feel validated and empowered to heal with God's help, to set goals, make changes, overcome difficulties, embrace who God made them to be, and cope with life’s many challenges. I use an eclectic blend of techniques to provide caring and evidence-based therapy. In addition to traditional Talk Therapy and Motivational Interviewing, I use other techniques that work on a deeper level; some of these techniques are drawn from Cognitive Behavioral, Person-centered, Strength-based, and Narrative therapies. These are all very compatible with the Christian faith and biblical principles. Prayer and Scripture can also be integrated into counseling if you would like.

I would be honored to be your counselor, come along side you with the Lord in the middle, and work together toward your goals!

Tammy is amazing. She always has good ideas and strategies for me. She listens and really helps me work on my goals. It’s so easy to open up to her because she always knows what to say and do to help me out with any situation. She helps me to learn my own thought process and correct what I need to so I can handle more on my own. I couldn’t recommend anyone more.
