“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal,” 2 Corinthians 4:18. God gave us an array of emotions, including hope. However, life circumstances sometimes diminish or extinguish our hope. I can hold hope for you as you work to regain your own. I have been a Christian my entire life yet have experienced times when I struggled with obedience and strayed from faith. Through my own personal and professional experiences, I realize that pain is an emotion that connects us all, despite the origin. The beauty of this difficult emotion is that pain has a purpose. Together, we can realize the purpose of pain in your life and change perspective of your circumstances into growth and character development.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) in Colorado, earning my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Metropolitan State University of Denver. I have worked in the mental health and social services fields for over 13 years, serving youth in foster care, economically disadvantaged parents, individuals with psychiatric needs, and justice-involved adults.
Vulnerability takes courage and trust, so creating a genuine, judgment-free therapeutic relationship is my top priority. Personally, I have experience as a flawed human being. Professionally, I have experience in working with depression and anxiety, substance use and other addictions, sexual and identity issues, parenting challenges, changing unhealthy behaviors, and coping with intense emotions such as pain, anger, and loneliness. I also have specific training and experience in working with individuals who have engaged in sexually abusive or harmful behavior as well as with partners of sexual betrayal. Believing in whole person health and wellness, we can examine the challenges that sought you to seek therapy and work towards creating a fulfilling spiritual, emotional, and physical life.
I absolutely believe in finding the right fit with a therapist. My approach involves accessing your innate strengths and resiliency to overcome life’s obstacles. Please reach out to me if you have questions about my experience, the therapeutic process, or simply want to see if you feel comfortable talking to me. I pray for hope and peace as you pursue your healing journey.

Due to my own personal scheduling conflicts, Tanya has been very accommodating and helpful in every way to communicate with me and to make appointments work. She reaches out to me on a regular basis and responds in a timely manner to my messages. I feel she is very genuine and I appreciate her optimism in helping me cope with the stressors in my life.
