Thank you for taking the time to read my profile page. Being a supportive clinical social worker that has a foundation of faith in Jesus Christ is one of the greatest joys in my life. I enjoy listening to others and helping them to find a way through tough times. My experience includes a Master's Degree of Social Work from the University of Utah and for almost 20 years, I have worked in child and family services. Currently, I counsel the chronically ill on end of life decisions and teach at a local university. But with all those things, my connection to my Lord has been been where I have learned the most.
In my clinical practices and experiences, I have had the privilege of helping families overcome struggles with teens are struggling through issues of adolescence and mental health problems. Parents sometimes believe that they are the only parents going through tough with teens. Some teens are acting out because of a loss in their connection with the Lord and that connection is felt with their relationship with their parents. I enjoy supporting parents in the journey as hard as it might be sometimes. Also, I have a passion for helping those navigating a new life in sobriety. Addiction recovery is one of the bravest things that I have seen people overcome and I like to help people stay on the path of recovery. All my clinical practice incorporates cognitive behaviors strategies with a very positive Rogerian approach. Those I treat will be treated with respect and clearly set boundaries.
I want to help others by starting to help them where they want to begin and taking the Gospel to strengthen and lift up others. I believe in my clients I help and I want them to be happy and successful. I can help my clients by setting goals, open communication and unconditional positive regard to help with hard life situations. I wish you the best on your journey and hope to have the chance to help you!

Terri is AMAZING! :)
I love working with Terri Sawyer she has been a God sent in so many ways. She has helped me change my way of thinking and helped me to be more positive. In my time of need she is there and helps me work through my thoughts. I love Faithful Counseling and all it has to offer I recommend it all the time. My Pastor even recommends it because of the experience I've had!
I highly recommend Terri. She’s funny to break the ice and respectfully serious when she needs to be. I’m just a few sessions I’ve seen great improvement.
Terri has been awesome to work with. I am just getting started with counseling but she has been very caring and attentive.
Terri is always warm and cheerful and I look forward to our sessions together.
I think she is great she is good at helping me address my needs as well as assist me each week w worksheets and homework to get my brain thinking. Enjoy her a lot.
Terri is fantastic, she has been helping me work through the issues that brought me here. I would highly recommend Terri to anyone looking for a counselor. 5/5 stars.
Terri is so amazing! She is so understanding and easy to talk to. I was able to open up to her right away about my problems and she was excited to help me and get me where I wanted to be.
Terri is really supportive. She goes out of her way to create a safe space for me to have brave conversations with her and to understand my experiences better through an educational approach. I am so grateful for her light, I definitely feel as though she wants to walk with me during this road to healing. Thank you so much Terri!
In my experience I've been MIA for a couple of days & I would receive a text messages constantly reminding me that my counsellor (Terri Sawyer) has sent a message. That's when I know there is someone I could talk to. I hold on to hope that I will would be able to work through the issues in my life with Terri coaching along the way. Thanks Terri for not giving up on me. God Bless
