Thank you for taking the time to read my profile page. Being a supportive clinical social worker that has a foundation of faith in Jesus Christ is one of the greatest joys in my life. I enjoy listening to others and helping them to find a way through tough times. My experience includes a Master's Degree of Social Work from the University of Utah and in a few months I will finish my doctorate. For almost 20 years, I have worked in child and family services. Currently, I counsel the chronically ill on end of life decisions and teach at a local university. But with all those things, my connection to my Lord has been been where I have learned the most.
In my clinical practices and experiences, I have had the privilege of helping families overcome struggles with teens are struggling through issues of adolescence and mental health problems. Parents sometimes believe that they are the only parents going through tough with teens. Some teens are acting out because of a loss in their connection with the Lord and that connection is felt with their relationship with their parents. I enjoy supporting parents in the journey as hard as it might be sometimes. Also, I have a passion for helping those navigating a new life in sobriety. Addiction recovery is one of the bravest things that I have seen people overcome and I like to help people stay on the path of recovery. All my clinical practice incorporates cognitive behaviors strategies with a very positive Rogerian approach. Those I treat will be treated with respect and clearly set boundaries.
I want to help others by starting to help them where they want to begin and taking the Gospel to strengthen and lift up others. I believe in my clients I help and I want them to be happy and successful. I can help my clients by setting goals, open communication and unconditional positive regard to help with hard life situations. I wish you the best on your journey and hope to have the chance to help you!

Terri is always there for me whether it be in text or in chats. She is there to encourage me when I need it the most.
I really enjoy working with Terri. Im able to vent when my depression or stress gets bad and when I feel like I'm just failing, she always seem to lift me up and turn things around for me. Thank you!
Terri has helped me turn my life around. She really got to my personal concerns and her recommendations and observations are spot on. I've had a few therapists. Terri is by far the best. I'm grateful for her and for our interactions. I am definitely on a better path because of Terri.
Terri has been extremely helpful to overcoming obstacles I have struggled with in life. I have been with her for three months and have grown so much with her support and advise. You would be very lucky to have her in your life to discuss anything that is a concern to you or would like to change or improve on. I have told many friends about Faithful Counseling and how it has changed my life for the better! Thank you Terri for helping me. I truly value our sessions and your support every day.
I am so grateful to have been matched with Terri Sawyer. I feel she completely understands the issue that brought me to counseling and has been so kind and understanding as I have been working through the reasons I am here. I like how she asks me the tough questions and doesn't pull any punches, there is no BS. She tells it like it is but in such a loving way. She has been instrumental in helping me and my family deal with a very painful issue and we are working on healing, and I could not see us ever getting there without her help.
Terri is AMAZING! :)
I highly recommend Terri. She’s funny to break the ice and respectfully serious when she needs to be. I’m just a few sessions I’ve seen great improvement.
Terri has been awesome to work with. I am just getting started with counseling but she has been very caring and attentive.
Terri is always warm and cheerful and I look forward to our sessions together.
Terri is fantastic, she has been helping me work through the issues that brought me here. I would highly recommend Terri to anyone looking for a counselor. 5/5 stars.
Terri is so amazing! She is so understanding and easy to talk to. I was able to open up to her right away about my problems and she was excited to help me and get me where I wanted to be.
Terri is really supportive. She goes out of her way to create a safe space for me to have brave conversations with her and to understand my experiences better through an educational approach. I am so grateful for her light, I definitely feel as though she wants to walk with me during this road to healing. Thank you so much Terri!
In my experience I've been MIA for a couple of days & I would receive a text messages constantly reminding me that my counsellor (Terri Sawyer) has sent a message. That's when I know there is someone I could talk to. I hold on to hope that I will would be able to work through the issues in my life with Terri coaching along the way. Thanks Terri for not giving up on me. God Bless
