I am a licensed mental health professional with over 5 years of clinical experience. I am also a Christian and firmly believe that utilizing faith resources can have a profound impact on the therapeutic process. I have been blessed to be able to work with clients willing to incorporate their Christian faith into sessions and have seen their lives be transformed. My primary focus has been working with individuals working through anxiety, depression, trauma, coping with life’s stressors, personality disorders and building self esteem. I have additionally worked on assisting in anger management and addiction challenges. I am passionate about helping others reach their goals and build an abundant life as John 10:10 teaches. I received my Mater’s Degree In Marriage and Family Therapy in 2014 from Argosy University and chose that licensure as I believe our relationships from the past as well as the present have an impact on our journey in life. In all my sessions, I use a strengths based approach that balances validation and change strategies.
I additionally have a second Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from Northwestern University and have assisted clients in strengthening their occupational and leadership skills. I most often use an integrative approach in sessions to allow for choosing what will be the best fit for each client. Though I will use different modalities, I always remaining person centered. For those interested in skill development, DBT which focus on managing emotions, learning ways to cope with stress, how to have healthy communication and relationships, and skills to help with staying focused and more in control of thoughts, can be integrated into our sessions.
