I am Dr. Veneisha Johnson, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I am a passionate writer-practitioner in the field of mental health who divides my time between clinical practice and research. In my clinical practice, I provide treatments to adult and adolescent clients with a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and adjustment problems, such as anxiety, stress, depression, and relationship problems. As a Christian, when faced with life many challenges I knew that having a relationship with Christ supported me not only through scripture but prayer. I grew up serving God and he is a part of my practice as a woman of faith.
I join you to achieve mental health and life goals which includes managing stress, repairing fragmented relationship, and trauma wounds. As my client, you will experience a protected and compassionate environment where you can discover and work through emotional and personal issues brought on by life changes including family and/or societal/cultural pressures. I am a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist utilizing Hypnosis to encourage patients’ awareness of the mind-body-emotion connection. I work with clients to establish new insights and behavioral patterns required to achieve significant life-changing results. My goal is to empower individuals to create the life they want for themselves. My approach is relational, client-focused, and solution-oriented. I utilized methods focusing on holistic health in a safe, judgment-free, and confidential environment that will help you reclaim your emotional health.
I specialize in areas of depression, trauma, anxiety, relationship complexities, sexual abuse, and human trafficking. I work extensively with survivors of abuse. These varying experiences have allowed me to access training and treatment for people at different stages of life. The guidance of Christian principles is an integral part of healing.
I look forward to supporting you on this journey to a healthier you. Change comes from doing.

Dr. Johnson is very caring and understanding. She has helped me so much even in the short time I have worked with her
Dr Johnson has challenged and supported me from day 1. I have been working with her for almost two months and it has been a time of very fruitful conversations. She is a light and her rootedness in the Gospel has helped create a haven in this counseling process.
