I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a doctorate degree in counseling. My dedication to the counseling and mental health profession spans over 27 years. Populations served include children, adults, and families. If you are looking for support in coping with anxiety, anger, grief, loss, spiritual and relationship issues I am available and committed to helping individuals in a telehealth environment. My therapeutic philosophy is Humanistic and my therapeutic approach is Person-Centered. I am an empathic listener and I believe that the client is the expert storyteller of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. According to 2nd Timothy 3:16, all scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. My strategy to therapy is to focus on the clients’ strengths and work towards increased self-confidence, clarification of goals and to minimize the effects of stress and trauma on their life. The foundation of a clients’ personal spiritual relationship may be a strength in therapy. My theoretical orientation is a combination of Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Solution-Focus Therapy. The goal of therapy is to help clients experience a desired development growth as they travel a journey toward making healthy choices. I believe that counseling is an art that educates and builds self-confidence.
