About me
My name is Walter Bowers and I am a licensed professional counselor or LPC for short. I have been licensed for more than 20 years and have more than 25 years of counseling experience. I have helped many clients make positive choices regarding problems that they have presented in counseling sessions with me. The approach that I use is rational choice and is based on Robert Glasser's Choice Theory. I teach clients how to apply the theory to their own lives which allows them to realize that the only things that they can control are their own behaviors. This is important to know because many times people who have come to see me were too focused on trying to change other people or too worried about events from the past. They were unable to function in the present because of being stuck on yesterday. I use a reality based approach in counseling sessions that provide a foundation where you learn that the only behaviors that you will be able to control are your own. You learn to make choices that are beneficial to you as an individual. Things in the past have happened and must not control you in these present times.
I am a member of the Christian faith and have been a servant of the Lord's for more than 50 years. I offer couples and individual counseling in a judgment free approach. I believe that all humans fall short of what is required of them by God and need guidance in finding the strength to forgive themselves. God forgives us but sometimes people keep blaming themselves. Individuals who attend counseling sessions with me find that they are able to express their concerns and engage in sessions that provide insight on those matters that the clients deems important. I have counseled couples and individuals regarding their faith, divorce, relationship issues, parenting, finances, and grief. I also provide therapy for those Christians who have been involved with violations of the law and are wanting to make a fresh start.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Walter Bowers. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Faithful Counseling might be different.
Walter Bowers is a logical, insightful professional who constructs much of his counsel through well planned questions and deductive reasoning. A great councilor indeed.
He is amazing. He always gives me a better perspective and has helped so much already.
I have only participated in two sessions with Mr. Bowers so far and have already learned a lot about me and my approach to my own mental health and things I need to analyze and work on. He has a wonderful way of making you evaluate parts of your personal awareness you don't often investigate on your own. I look forward to every session because I know I'm going to gain something every time.
Walter is exceptionally good this! He has helped us through a very difficult time in our marriage. We always look forward to our sessions with Walter.
I have recommended several people to faith counseling and to Walter. However, I did tell them to fill out the questionnaire as honestly as possible in order to get the right person for them.
Walter Bowers is very professional & has helped me.
