About Me

I am a Christian and a licensed clinical social worker in Tennessee. Over the past twelve years of clinical practice, I have been privileged to assist people in becoming the best versions of themselves by utilizing cognitive behavioral and psycho-dynamic(talk) therapy, as well as utilizing mindfulness practices. I have helped many people with issues such as depression, anxiety, grief, low self-esteem, attention difficulties, codependency, relationship difficulties, anger management, parenting, communication, decision making, coping, trauma, and stress management. As a Christian counselor, I embrace the opportunity for discipleship, and by this I'm speaking to the shared belief system and aspiration to live by and follow the teachings of Jesus. I am able to help people in a particular way that aligns with my own beliefs, drawing wisdom and insights from the Holy Bible. It makes the very important work of helping people even more meaningful to me, and I consider it honor and a blessing to be given this opportunity. I am humbled and grateful to be a part of this counseling ministry.
My approach is client centered which means we begin therapy where you are. I want to learn all I can about you so we can work together to develop a plan that is perfectly tailored to suit your particular needs. In our communications I will actively listen to you and show warmth, care, and compassion for your struggle. We will work together toward your goals so that your overall achievement through this process will be you at your best.
Life can sometimes be hard and there's nothing wrong with reaching out for a little help. You've already taken the first step today toward healing by looking on the Faithful Counseling platform. This tells me you're ready to feel better, and I believe I can help you get there. My passion is to help others reach their highest potential and shine their light with God's guidance. This is my gift, and I'd like to share it with you if you are ready to receive.

God bless Alison!

He is with her for certain and I thank her for being willing to be used by Him to have helped heal me, from so many painful and traumatic moments in my life.

Thank You God, HALLELUJAH!

God's Spirit in and through her taught me that I am forgiven, I can forgive (myself and others) and love as God loves me. And how to live in the present moment.

Alison was sent by God to uplift, encourage and help His children, and I thank God for His faithfulness, His healing and His love.

Thank You God for Alison and thank You God for You. For never ever giving up on me and never giving up on any of us who He loves.

Thank You God for Alison for helping me know how much you love me and all humanity! :D

Alison Goad has been such a blessing to me! I have come a long way with her. She always made herself available to me and introduced me to yoga, mindfulness, gratitude and meditation. These tools, combined with faith, led me to heal.
Alison is by far the best counselor I ever had!

Alison has provided some great insights. I am thankful I took this path. I still have some work to do, but this has been a step in the right direction.
